Tyler Wirken Photojournalism Workshop- Boston Massachusetts
I keep pretty busy in the summer as a wedding photographer, and look forward to the winters to ski and to renew my bsuiness. I believe passionately in continuing education and keeping my skills sharp.
I used to work as a staff photographer at a regional daily newspaper, so photojournalism is something I come by honestly. Nothing beats a multi day assignment and intense critique to improve one's "eye".
I took Tylers Wirken's "Wirkshop" last month in Boston and got assigned a crazy thrift shop in Jamaica Plains, called Boomerangs. They've got a fantastic mission and an incredible group of young people working there. The customers make themselves right at home and the frivolity never ceases.
Many of the take home messages are not necessarily reflected in these images, thus is the nature of a PJ workshop, but I am fortunate that I got a great body of work to hang on my blog. :)
